At least half of Libya's oil  production  has been  shut down

"The overall significance of the situation is more than just about lost 

barrels" said Amrita Sen of Barclays Capital. " Destabilisation in 

the 

Arab world, home to the world’s largest oil and gas reserves and 

production, is of extreme significance."
